Announcing the West Boylston Athletic Association Jake O’Connor Scholarship!
Carlton “Jake” O’Connor was an all-around athlete, and played football, basketball, and baseball throughout his school days. He liked to share stories of his teams traveling throughout the state for competitions. In 1957 he began teaching at West Boylston Jr-Sr High School where he continued coaching cross country and basketball and became the Director of Athletics. Jake served as assistant principal from 1961-1975, and principal from 1975-1987. Over the years, he received numerous awards for his dedication to high school athletic programs. Jake passed away in November of 2021. He is remembered for his love of family, sportsmanship and dedication to the youth of the community of West Boylston as well as student athletes everywhere.
The WBAA is proud to announce the West Boylston Athletic Association Jake O’Connor Scholarship to be awarded to a graduating West Boylston MHS Senior who has either competed in OR supported athletics at WBMHS.

Start 2023 on the right foot with the WBAA Hot Cocoa 5k!
We invite anyone and everyone who would like to kick off 2023 with some great exercise and fun to the WBAA 5k Hot Cocoa Run/Walk on Sunday, January 8th.
Registration will be at the Middle High School entrance. The 5k route will start there and wrap around our beautiful reservoir, passing the Old Stone Church and ending at Goodale Park - where everyone registered will get a keepsake mug filled with delicious hot cocoa!
Many teachers and coaches will be participating in the event and if a student or player beats them - they will get a special prize!!

Location: Start @ WBMHS Parking Lot. Finish @ Goodale Parking Lot
Cost: $13 for ages 5 - 12 & 60+ / $23 for all others.

About Us
Our goal is to support all of the sports teams at West Boylston Middle High School. We are an independent, non-profit organization that isn't a direct part of the school. We accomplish our goal by providing fund-raising activities and programs for students, families, and the community throughout the school year. We provide financial assistance for the athletic programs benefiting the public schools of West Boylston and the students attending such schools. We support the West Boylston cheerleading, soccer, football, tennis, basketball, softball and baseball teams as well as athletes participating on teams with other schools - hockey, golf, field hockey and track & field. We have a staff who is dedicated to getting the West Boylston sports teams the best possible funding.
